Extreme Storm

Hurricane Zeta, which struck Florida in 2020, inflicted substantial damage and disruption across the state. The storm, marked by intense winds and heavy rains, resulted in widespread power outages as trees and power lines were toppled. Coastal regions experienced storm surges, leading to significant flooding in low-lying areas. Zeta's rapid intensification caught many residents off guard, and its powerful winds caused structural damage to buildings, homes, and infrastructure. The aftermath of the hurricane left communities grappling with the extensive debris, property damage, and the challenges of rebuilding. The impact of Hurricane Zeta underscored the unpredictable nature of tropical storms and the need for resilient infrastructure and comprehensive disaster preparedness in vulnerable regions like Florida.
